Insert and secure your period cup with confidence using this simple guide! For complete instructions, please refer to the manual in your cup box.
Remember to sanitize your cup by boiling for 5 minutes before first use and at the beginning of each cycle to prevent bacterial buildup.
STEP 1: Wash your hands
Before inserting your cup, wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and mild, fragrence-free soap.
STEP 2: Fold and Angle the Cup
Choose a comfortable fold for your period cup. Once folded, angle the cup slightly toward your vagina for smoother insertion.
STEP 3: Insert the Cup
Gently push the folded cup inside and release your finger once most of it is in, allowing it to unfold naturally.
STEP 4: Create a Seal
Ensure a leak-proof seal by either pushing the cup up, twisting the stem, or running a finger along the brim.
STEP 5: Check Comfort
A properly sealed cup should feel comfortable with no pressure or bulges. With practice, you'll feel more confident each cycle.

HOW TO REMOVE
Use the stem as a guide to help locate your period cup.
The period cup comes with finger indents towards the bottom of the period cup, before the stem starts, which exists to help you find where to pinch the period cup to release the suction.
You can also run your finger along the brim of the period cup inside the vaginal canal and poke your finger onto the wall of the period cup to break suction.
HOW TO CLEAN
During your flow, make sure to rinse your period cup and, if possible, use mild, fragrance-free soap to wash the period cup before reinserting.
To prevent potential infection, always wash your hands before removing or inserting the period cup. You can reduce the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), a potentially fatal disease caused by a toxin emitted from a common bacteria, by boiling your cup, washing your hands with soap and water before handling the period cup, emptying the period cup on a more frequent basis, and thoroughly washing the period cup after emptying.

We created a community brand interested in destigmatizing and reimagining menstruation as a powerful experience. After all, periods literally make human life possible.
Founding Story
Our journey began in January 2020 as juniors in college with an idea to reimagine period care for all. We polled our Gen Z community to identify what they needed in their period care, and since then, we’ve been working on August and building with our #InnerCycle.
